Porters Avenue - WHOer in need
|
If you read the 'I'm being evicted' thread you will see that there is WHOer in need.
The reason for a new thread is because I don't want this being lost in between other posts on that thread.
After speaking on Whomail the long and short of it is that he is £2k in arrears for his rent and as a result will see him, his wife and his baby evicted.
Some decent chaps on there have already said they'd put £50 towards helping him - if we could find £40 of us to do so he would have the £2k
Now look, he isn't a well known poster, he may well be spinning a yarn, but I don't think he is and I'm willing to be scammed for £50 if the risk of not doing it is seeing a fellow Hammerstein spiral.
So this thread is twofold - firstly, please post if and what you will donate and secondly a suggestion of the best way to collect it for him.
Please only post for one of those two points - anything else please keep on the other thread.
Thanks

OK, maybe he's not making it up. I apologise if that's the case then.
I just wouldn't choose to share my woes with strangers on WHO, but maybe I shouldn't have presumed that everybody would be the same.
Once again, i humbly apologise for presuming he made it up.

Putting the money thing to one side at the moment, He is in touch with a couple of people from here via email who can help him.
The ball is in his court now.
IF the money is needed after taking the other help offered him then that is another discussion and hopefully the idea of him paying it back to the BMF as and when he can will give him a way of accepting it with pride in tact.
Hopefully the very least him posting about his problem on here has done is show him that things aren't as dark as they may have seemed and there are a couple of avenues available to him.
And for the record, this wasn't my idea. A couple of people mentioned something on the other thread, I just didn't want those ideas lost in the middle of a thread. I'm just offering a few quid the same as everyone else.
Plus I'm only offering it in return for a link to his missus ;)

Going to bump this.
Porters you have been offered proper legal advice by some on here. Go and see them for the sake of your family please.
Many of us have offered to give you some money please think about whats best for your family. We are all cunts but we are West Ham and see someone in need of a bit of help. Its not donations its a bunch of guys wanting to help someone who has fallen on bad times. Its happened to many of us before please accept Mr Pollites idea in the spirit its mean't.

What's the difference between the high court and a normal court and how would I know what court they have gone to?

Be aware that if the landlord escalates this to the High Court, you can be evicted without any notice at all. I've seen it on tv!

Talk about airing your dirty washing in public, i wonder if Mr Polite would have acted so generous if he hadn't been accused of spitting in a geezers face who's in a wheelchair

Hi mentor I will give you my number in an email later. I was told that when the section 21 expires which it did on the 13th of oct, her solicitor then applies to the court and I await the date. I then get 4 weeks from that date.?

Technically, if all else fails you've got 2 months from the issue of Section 21.
